One of the constants in the Southern Tier was the rain-there were 160 cloudy day a year there, and it rained many of them. The result was a lot of puddles. NYSW 3638 is reflected in one of them at the north end of East Binghamton as it waits to go to the Port of Albany with a BUAB. |

One of the most scenic places on the NYSW, indeed in New York, was Bairds farm near Warwick. It was a popular photo spot, and the family was gracious in allowing railfans access. It was a "must do" photo stop for the trip, which we see posed at the farm, along with some of JJ Youngs inflatable cows, imported from Binghamton for the occasion. |
