Album Info:Upon the passing of Robert & Mae Stuart (my uncle & maternal aunt) in 1976, I inherited a set of postal cards. These cards had been sent by Alda Stuart to Catherine Stuart (Uncle Bob's parents) in the early 1900's. Seven of these postal cards may be of interest to fans of the Pennsylvania Railroad. I have ordered them according to postmark date, with titles and certain details added. Some are very familiar, others less so. Also included are two undated postal cards depicting an iron ore mine in Scotia, Pennsylvania. * Repaired Album *

Scotia Iron Ore Mine, #2 of 2, c. 1915
Title:  Scotia Iron Ore Mine, #2 of 2, c. 1915
Description:  Stuart Postal Cards. No Postmark. Title: "Incline Plane at Scotia." Given the metal smoke stacks and the operator's shanty at the top of the incline, this photo was taken downhill from the previous one. Perhaps the derricks are related to petroleum production?
