Ted Brumberg	General	Built in 1955 by Budd in Lot #9679-155 as GN full dome lounge #1391 OCEAN VIEW, 1 of 6 VIEW-series full domes built in that Lot for the EMPIRE BUILDER; GN owned 5 (#1390-#1394) and CB&Q owned 1 (#1395). All 6 were sold to Amtrak in 1971 as #9360-#9365, OCEAN VIEW as #9361. In 1985, Amtrak converted 3 of the cars to HEP as #9300-#9302; OCEAN VIEW was converted to #9300 in March 1985. Usually assigned to the AUTO TRAIN through 1996, the OCEAN VIEW was renumbered to #10031 in April 1999, and is the last dome car on Amtrak's roster. The #10031 sees use seasonally across the country, including assignments on the PACIFIC SURFLINER (Amfleet set), ADIRONDACK during Fall Colors, RENO FUN TRAIN, and LEAVENWORTH SNOW TRAIN.
