Here is the front side of a "Vanishing Vistas" portrait that was published by Lyman E. Cox in 1972. Photo by Stan Kistler. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5692 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are B-1 (C) electrics built in Juniata and rated at 570 horsepower each. #5692 was constructed in December of 1934 and retired in May of 1967 after 33 years of service. They're serving as "Yard Goats" at the Harrisburg Passenger Station. |
