| A Helm GP40 turned GP38-2 enjoys the weekend off in UP's Peach Yard. This locomotive was delivered to Milwaukee Road as GP40 179 in October 1966 then renumbered MILW 2017 before the Soo Line merger entering the line as SOO 2017. After Soo Line retired the Geep UP purchased it and renumbered it as 876 until retirement then sold to Helm who rebuilt the diesel into a GP38-2 then leased it back to UP 2547 in January 1999. |
