| The Air Force operated a roughly five mile stretch of trackage from Holloman AFB to Alamogordo NM for many years before ceasing ops in the 1980s. The tracks actually on the base were removed years ago but the remainder of the line were only recently pulled up, as shown in this view looking west from Lavelle Road. |
