BNSF 4168
BNSF 4168 stuck somewhat in the middle of a rather long line of power-in-waiting as the sun tries to burn through the Sunday morning clouds... a potentially disappearing sight in the background as a container train trundles down from the Seattle-Tacoma deep-water port off-loading zone... recent local news says the various distribution and hub centers around the now predominantly dead port of Portland container area will be disbanding soon (wouldve been sooner) unless Hanjin and (now) H-Lloyd dont resume shipping/container traffic to the quiet docks of Portland... instead moving shop up to the Sea-Tac region and just trucking the containers to appropriate destination direct. Thatll certainly put a little damper on the extra traffic weve been seeing in the north-south corridor between Portland and Seattle-Tacoma, especially with the marked drop in oil and coal through the region. Better enjoy the large influx of power units and movement while it lasts.
