c1913. The date is an estimate. I bought a number of photographs on ebay a few years ago that came from the estate of an EVANS. The seller didn’t know what generation took all the material. Most of that series is in the Maine Central – Brunswick, Maine folder on this web site. For me the train in the scene isn’t nearly as important as the coal yard and track layout. If I’m properly indexed this photograph was taken atop the Spring Street over pass looking west. The switch that the train is passing over would be the west switch of the Y for Lewiston Lower.
