Former-Smithfield Station  Contributor's Pick!
The Smithfield Utah train station has found a new life in Logan Utah. The building was moved from its original location and rebuilt here on Logan's Main Street. The new owners then extended the building on the northern side to increase its size, and added a basement. This building is one of three preserved train stations in Logan (the other two being the OSL freight depot, and the current Cafe Sabor Restaurant). The Smithfield Station was a standard UP Hariman era design. Some websites erroneously claim this building was once the Cache Junction station, however local railfans attest to its origins in Smithfield.
