Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 4-4-0 307 at Galesburg, Illinois sometime in 1884, photographer unknown, print scanned from Louis Zadnichek collection. On the back of the print it was hand-written: Number 307 was built by the CB&Q in 1878. The following is from Hol Wagner: The 307 was built at Aurora in 1878 (along with engines 308-310). It was renumbered 1307 in 1898 and KCStJ&CB 555 in 1900. It was sold on May 30, 1903, to an unknown buyer. Had it survived a year longer it would have become a member of the A-2 class. |
