| There were 72 GMD SW1200RS built 1958 – 1960 for the Canadian Pacific and 33 of them were rebuilt to SW1200RSu standards 1981-1985. This is one of the 39 as-built models, identified by the as-built sandbox hatches. This site has the locomotive listed as ex-Canadian National but the spotting features of taller exhaust stacks, the MU receptacle location & style plus the additional "P" handrail on the pilot above the drop step say otherwise. If anyone out there has the correct history on #1210 please list it in the comment section. |
