DRGW 4-6-0ng #169 - Denver & Rio Grande Western
Title:  DRGW 4-6-0ng #169 - Denver & Rio Grande Western
Description:  On one of his trips out west, rail fan Jim Lockart took this color slide of Denver & Rio Grande Western 4-6-0 #169 (serial 7028) on display at the Alamosa, CO depot. Built by the Baldwin predecessor, Burham, Perry & Williams Co, in November of 1883 as Denver & Rio Grande 4-6-0ng #169, it led an interesting life. At one point in 1939, the loco was on display at the New York World's Fair. By April of 1941, the loco was retired and donated to the city of Alamosa, CO for a display at the DRGW depot there.
