This rare but good looking l2-8-2 Mikado ocomotive was built by Lima in November of 1916 originally as NYC 2-8-2 #3979 (serial #5270, class H-5t). It was renumbered in August of 1936 to NYC 1479. Then on March 11,1937, it was sold to the Georgia Car & Locomotive Company who in turn sold it to the High Point, Thomasville & Denton RR on May 14, 1937 as their NPTD 2-8-2 #1479.
