Although the print was damaged, the image of the Catskill Mountain caboose #95041 can be mostly seen. The Lehigh Valley Railroad caboose #95041, built in 1944, was acquired by the Catskill Mountain Railroad (CMRR) preservation group around 2010 to be part of their collection in New York. The 32-ton steel caboose was transported by truck from Middletown to Shokan in July 2010. It is often lettered as CMRR 673 and served as an addition to their roster of historic rolling stock. It is a standard wood-bodied caboose typical of the mid-20th century. In July 2010, the 32-ton caboose was moved overland by truck from Middletown, NY, to its new home in Shokan, NY. The photo was taken by an unidentified rail fan and is now part of my rr collection. |
