PRR 8670, AS-18AM, 1962

Everyday. Here is the second of two successive original photos that I took in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 7 October 1962. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8670 and #8659. Both are AS-18AM's built by the American Locomotive Company and rated at 1,800 horsepower each. #8670 was built in March of 1958, while #8659 was built in January of 1958. They're pulling a mixed-cargo freight train and are about to pass by the Passenger Station on their way into the Hollidaysburg Yards. (The bicycle in the right foreground was my main means of transportation during my early days of train watching and photographing.)
