Nice Baldwin builder's photo of the Evansville & Terre Haute 0-6-0 yard switcher #488 (serial #28862). It was built in August of 1906. Eventually, the E&TH was absorbed into the Chciago & Eastern Illinois system and became CEI #3616. Sadly, it was dismantled in July of 1934. Specs - 50" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, engine wt of 142,500 lb & tractive effort of 31,824 lb. |
