The 1533 was built for the Southern Pacific as SW1500 #2618 at LaGrange in 1972, one of 240 delivered to SP & subsidiary Cotton Belt. A total of 12 orders built between 1967 & 1973 to replace worn out Baldwin, Alco & Fairbanks Morse power. This EMD became Union Pacific Y1190 in 2001 then was sold to the Larry's Truck gang (date?). REG leased then purchased the endcab in 2019 for the IAMR: |

In 2001 Rail Enterprise Group was formed with the creation of Raritan Central Railway to serve the Raritan Center Business Park in Edison, New Jersey. Later, the Pennsylvania & Southern Railway serving the Letterkenny Army Depot and the Cumberland Valley Business Park in Pennsylvania, was added. In 2019 contracts were signed to operate the Iowa and Middletown Railway to serve the Commerce Center of Southeast Iowa in Middletown, IA and the Wolf Creek Railroad located at the Milan Commercial Complex in Milan, TN. Effective sometime during the first quarter of 2022 the operation contracts for IMAR and WCKR were awarded to Commtrex Exchange, headquartered at Sugar Land TX. Commtrex declined to purchase or lease the REG motive power so the engines were sent in 2 groups to the PSCC at the Cumberland Valley site near Chambersburg PA for storage: |
