HERMOSA JUNCTION WY Oct 19 1977 -- Union Pacific SD40-2H 8053 is in the lead of a TOFC train. EMD built the 8053 (b/n 767021-19) in July 1976 and equipped it with features for high-speed service. In October 1981 it was renumbered to 3323 and its high-speed features were removed. It was retired on Feb 17 2009.
